The inaugural Miles for Paige walk took place on April 5, 2025, in honor of Paige's first birthday. We created the event to give back to two organizations that supported us through the first year of our grief journey.
The support was overwhelming - over 150 people attended, helping raise nearly $15,000. We were grateful to have Strong Brew Coffee present, along with a face painter and a balloon artist for the kids. There were about 15 raffle baskets donated by family and friends, as well as baskets from local Swedesboro businesses, Connect Fitness & Wellness Studio and Swedesboro Brewery.
Donations to Unite, Inc. supported trainings, expenses related to their annual Walk to Remember, and upcoming Moms and Dads of Loss events. Funds will also help Unite work closely within hospitals and provide immediate support to families after a loss. Donations to Three Little Birds allowed them to continue offering loss resources, remembrance portraits, and financial assistance to families navigating a loss.
